2.2 Metadata and keywords

Customisable Metadata Fields

Name and Description are common fields, but all other asset-related fields are customisable. You can define all metadata fields according to your company’s needs. Read more about the use of metadata fields.

Keywords

You can add keywords by selecting from predefined keywords or entering the new one. It is also possible to define that only predefined keywords are allowed in the field.

Metadata language versions

Language-specific metadata can be defined for an asset. From the Asset Card, you can find all the language versions you have defined in the DAM under Language Settings. By default, the language metadata is empty in the language versions as long as the data is populated in the language versions.

You can also specify general settings for the selected metadata field so that the metadata field does not need to be specified in different language versions. In this case there is only one text field that is used in all language versions.

Metadata fields as search criteria

The metadata entered serves as search criteria in the search.

AI to support metadata creation

AI provides content contributors with metadata suggestions and suggests keywords for images based on image content.

Google AI Vision is supported in ImageBank X Pro and ImageBank Enterprise.

Limit in Locales

You can limit the visibility of an asset in different locales. From the Asset Card, click Limit in Locales and select the languages in which you want to display this asset.

Emojis

You can copy and paste emojis into all text fields and text areas.
