4.1 Meta fields

In this section, you can create new fields for the asset card view. You can add a new meta field from the Add new field icon or edit/delete existing fields from the pen/tick icon.

The meta fields defined in this section will be for each asset card and you can coordinate the fields with the metadata associated with the assets.

Field options

Field	Definition
Label	Field name by language version
Unique key	The word that identifies the field (e.g. copyright in the Photography permission field). The field is not visible to users.
Type	Select the type of field you want for the metadata field (text field / checkbox / date / keywords)
Highlight on the product card	When information is entered in the field, both the card in the category view and the metadata field will highlighted.
Translated	Language version of the field text - you can separately set the desired text for each different language.
Importing metadata from an image file	If you want the metadata in the file itself to be imported into the media bank, for example from the camera’s IPTC metadata.
Visibility	The meta field can be hidden from selected roles.
Is required	You can make the meta field mandatory, in which case a value or keyword must be entered in the field before the relevant product card can be published. If no value has been entered, ImageBank informs the user “Please enter the missing metadata.” and shows the product card and the meta field, which lacks mandatory metadata, with a red highlighting color.
